The first step establishes a secure connection between EaseLog and your Dataverse environment.

To connect:

1. Navigate to Environments in the left menu, then click + Create Environment
2. The Setup Wizard opens on the Connect to Environment step
3. Enter your Azure AD App Registration credentials:
   • Tenant ID — Your Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) tenant identifier
   • Client ID — The Application (Client) ID from your app registration
   • Client Secret — The secret value associated with your app registration
4. Click Get Environments
5. EaseLog will discover all available Dataverse environments under your tenant

Understanding the results:

Once connected, you will see a list of discovered environments showing:

• Environment Name — The display name of each Dataverse environment
• Instance ID — The unique identifier for the environment
• URL — The Dynamics 365 URL (e.g., https://yourorg.crm.dynamics.com)
• Type — Production or Sandbox
• Status — Whether the audit data is accessible

Select the environment you want to configure and click Next to proceed.
