Step 5: Configuring the Sync Schedule
How to configure the sync schedule for audit data offloading.
This step defines when and how often EaseLog synchronizes audit data from your Dataverse environment.
Configuration options:
- Audit Log Start Date — Specify the starting date for fetching historical audit data. The wizard displays the estimated total records and data size for the selected date range.
- Initial (Backlog) Data Export — Toggle to enable or disable an initial bulk export of historical audit data.
- First Execution Time — Set the date, time, and timezone for the first scheduled sync. The UTC equivalent is displayed for reference.
- Frequency — Choose how often EaseLog checks for new audit data.
- Next Scheduling Time — Automatically calculated based on the first execution time and selected frequency.
Recommendations:
- For high-volume environments (50,000+ daily changes), consider syncing every 30–60 minutes
- For low-volume environments, daily or twice-daily syncs are typically sufficient
- Enable backlog export if you need historical audit data for compliance
