Step 4: Selecting Users to Track
How to select which users' activities to track in EaseLog.

This step lets you choose which users' activities will be captured in the audit log.

User categories:

  • Normal Users — Standard business users who interact with Dynamics 365 (e.g., sales reps, service agents, managers)
  • System / App Users — Automated accounts, integrations, and service principals

User information displayed:

  • Name — The user's display name
  • Username — Their login username
  • Main Phone — Contact phone number (if available)
  • Business Unit — The Dataverse business unit they belong to
  • Primary Email — Their email address

How to select users:

  1. Review the list of Normal Users on the first tab
  2. Select individual users by clicking their row, or use the checkbox at the top to select all
  3. Switch to the System / App Users tab to include automated accounts if needed
  4. Use the Search users box to find specific users
  5. Click Next to proceed
