If you open the menu on the Record column, you will notice it offers less than the other columns. There is no Sort Ascending, no Sort Descending and no Filter. This article explains why, and what to do instead.
Why
Record is stored encrypted.
Audit records name the actual business records your people touched, which is often the most sensitive information in the whole audit trail. EaseLog encrypts that column so the value is protected while it sits in storage.
The consequence is that the database cannot read the value either. It cannot put encrypted values in order, and it cannot match one against a filter. So sorting and filtering are not offered on that column.
If you try to sort by it, EaseLog tells you plainly:
Record is stored encrypted, so it can't be sorted.

What the Record column can still do
The menu still offers Pin Column Left, Unpin Column, Autosize This Column and Autosize All Columns. You can also hide the column from the Columns panel. Only sorting and filtering are unavailable.
For contrast, this is what a column that is not encrypted offers:

What to do instead
You can always get where you are going another way, and usually faster.
Double click the record. The Audit Details drawer opens and its Record History section gives you that record's complete audit timeline. You never needed to sort or filter by Record to get there. See Opening the Audit Details of a Record.
The route is: narrow the grid using a column you can work with, find any one entry for the record, then double click it.
You want Do this Everything that happened to one record, with the record in front of you Double click it and read Record History. Everything that happened to one record, and you only have its ID Use Record Forensics on the Security tab of the Dashboard. All activity on one table Filter by Entity or Entity Schema Name. All activity by one person Filter or group by Changed By. Everything in a period Filter by Changed Date. The records grouped so you can scan them Group by Entity, then expand the group you want.In practice, filtering by Entity and Changed Date narrows the grid enough that finding the record and double clicking it takes seconds.
Note
This applies to Record today. If you find another column that offers no sort or filter, the same reason applies to it.
