The Storage & Cost tab shows how much room your audit data is taking, how fast it is growing, and what keeping it in EaseLog saves against keeping it in Dataverse.

Select Dashboard in the left navigation, then Storage & Cost.

Storage Usage

A gauge showing the percentage of your allocation in use, with the amount used by Audit Logs and the amount still Empty, both in GB.

Watch this against the growth figures below. Usage on its own tells you where you are. Usage plus growth tells you when you will need more room.

Total Audit Records and Daily Record Growth

Two trend charts. Total Audit Records is the running total. Daily Record Growth is how many arrive per period.

Each has a period selector, set to Weekly by default, and a percentage change badge.

Daily Record Growth is the more useful of the two for planning. A steady line means you can predict your storage needs. A step change means something in Dynamics 365 changed, often auditing being switched on for another table.

Estimated Storage Savings

The commercial case, calculated from your own data.

Row Meaning Total storage How much your audit data occupies. Dataverse rate The per GB rate for keeping it in Dataverse. Azure rate The per GB rate for keeping it where EaseLog puts it.

Net Monthly Savings is the difference, with a projection for the year.

This is the figure to take to whoever approves the budget. It is calculated from your actual volume, not an estimate.

Audit Volume by Month

Volume broken down by month, with Total records and Estimated size.

Use it to spot seasonality. A month that is unusually heavy is worth understanding, because it will happen again.

Note

A newly connected environment shows very little here until its first sync completes. Give it time before reading anything into the numbers.
