Activity History records who used EaseLog and what they did in it.

This is not your Dynamics 365 audit data

The distinction matters, because the two are easy to confuse.

Activity History The Log View What people did in EaseLog. What people did in Dynamics 365. Who signed in, who viewed which dashboard, who opened which audit data. Records created, updated, deleted and read in your business system.

If you want to know who has been reading the audit trail, this is the page. If you want to know what happened to a customer record, you want the Log View. See Opening the Log View.

Open Activity History

  1. Select the account icon at the top right of any page.
  2. Select Activity History.

The account menu open, showing the PLAN DETAILS block, Manage Subscription, Activity History, theme switching, About and Log out.

What it shows

The Activity History page, EaseLog's own record of who used EaseLog, with When, User, Action, Category, Type, Resource and Status columns.

Figure 2. The Activity History page, EaseLog's own record of who used EaseLog, with When, User, Action, Category, Type, Resource and Status columns.

Column Tells you When The date and time. User Which EaseLog user. Action What they did, for example Signed in or Viewed audit logs. Category The area, for example Auth, Dashboard, Environments, Users, Audit. Type The kind of action, for example View. Resource What it was done to, where that applies. Status The outcome.

Total Records at the bottom shows how many entries there are.

Working with the list

The grid behaves like the Log View. Columns and Filters are docked on the right edge, and the same sorting, filtering and grouping apply. See Filtering Records and Grouping Records.

What to use it for

  • Who has been reading the audit data. Filter Category to Audit to see who opened which environment's logs. In a compliance setting, access to the audit trail is itself worth being able to account for.
  • Confirming a sign in. Filter Category to Auth.
  • Explaining a configuration change. If a schedule or a connection changed and nobody remembers doing it, this is where to look.

Note

Activity History covers EaseLog usage only. Nothing here reaches into Dynamics 365, and nothing here appears in your Dataverse audit data.
